Melkor, later known as Morgoth, the Dark Lord of the First Age
Dark Lord is a title given to Melkor (later known as Morgoth) and Sauron, two of the most powerful and evil beings in Arda. Melkor was the first Valar to be given the title, the second being the Maiar Sauron.
Both of the Dark Lords were extremely influential in the history and shaping of Middle-earth.
